I’ll be there at one at leastBrenham has published the following schedule.
GAME 1:
MAY 07 / 7:00 PM
AT PORT-NECHES GROVES
RECKLING PARK
RICE UNIVERSITY, HOUSTON, TX
- -GAME 2:
MAY 08 / 7:00 PM
AT PORT-NECHES GROVES
RECKLING PARK
RICE UNIVERSITY, HOUSTON, TX
- -GAME 3 (if necessary):
MAY 09 / 1:00 PM
AT PORT-NECHES GROVES
CROSBY HIGH SCHOOL, CROSBY, TX
One aspect of the schedule is certainly a mistake. Although I would love it if we were considered the home team for every game in the series (with the associated last at bats), I doubt that this will be the case. They probably meant we are considered the home team for the series as a whole, which would mean home team for game 1 and for game 3 if that game is necessary. Also, there is rain in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, so these days and or times may change. Go Indians!!Brenham has published the following schedule.
GAME 1:
MAY 07 / 7:00 PM
AT PORT-NECHES GROVES
RECKLING PARK
RICE UNIVERSITY, HOUSTON, TX
- -GAME 2:
MAY 08 / 7:00 PM
AT PORT-NECHES GROVES
RECKLING PARK
RICE UNIVERSITY, HOUSTON, TX
- -GAME 3 (if necessary):
MAY 09 / 1:00 PM
AT PORT-NECHES GROVES
CROSBY HIGH SCHOOL, CROSBY, TX
So that means we actually don’t know at this point who will be considered the home team for the series.Brenham’s schedule lists any game that’s not at their home field that way.
Hopefully no upsets at Rice/Crosby. Go Indians!!A few upsets including Hallsville being taken out.
Don’t know for sure but probably Curtis. As far as I can tell, he has generally started the first game in critical matchups this year.Game day! Weather here in Houston should be fine. No chance of rain at the moment for today.
Who will be the pitcher for the Indians? Curtis?
Additionally, there is less interest in baseball than there was even a few years ago, so the info is even less reliable than it was in the past. The most reliable source of info I have found is txhighschoolbaseball.com, with the only caveat being that it sometimes takes awhile for them to update their info. Once the info has been posted, I have almost always found it to be accurate. They rely on people adding the data but it’s actually hard to do if you’re not the coach etc
