Who was the better candidate for All America from Nederland, Dravanti Johnson or Micah Mosley?

No brainer right...Mosley had some of the best HS RB stats this area has ever seen, but Johnson was a UT recruit!

Even if PNG continues on the current path and comes into prominence, without a highly recruited player, we will not get another AA.

Now All-State is another subject. Funny how many highly recruited players I've seen make All-America, but not All-State. We will have a few All-State members this year.

1. Lunceford might make 1st team.
2. Bertrand will make at least HM
3. Nelson HM
4. Doty HM

Lunceford is probably the best lineman I've seen at PN-G. He's a manster.
I do agree. He is the anchor of the best O-line I have seen play at PNG or this district for that matter. I hear that he is a GREAT young man to boot. Best of luck to Greg and the other senior linemen.

If they use him like they did against Willis he might just break that record...I would LOVE to witness that!!
Me, too, but people should bear in mind that Gordon was one of three running backs that split the runs during his 1950's reign. He was truly an awesome All-American running back and those who watched him run have not forgotten it yet. That said, I love Chase Bertrand and he is so awesome. I want him to continue to excel and be named an All American, too. Just think what an honor that would be for him, his nice family and the entire PNG community.
You also have to remember that back then the forward pass was about as popular as communism! The only way to compare the two would be by carries/yards per carry. Where LeBoeuf shared the load, so does Bertrand because of our great passing game. Both are/were excellent backs and we have a lot to be proud of in them.
WITHOUT A DOUBT!

And players in the old days were not nearly the size they are today. Especially the defensive players.

Bottom line is you can't accuratley compare different eras of football teams or players. Both are great in their respective decades.
