Considering traffic and all in Houston. I feel we should put up the best routes to Aldine stadium for our fans. I think a caravan of PNG decorated vehicles would work ! Maybe a few thousand in a convoy ! Hey can we say Police escort ! lol.
Ok post your routes !

Last time I went that way I took 90 to Beltway 8, to 59 to I think Aldine Bender. bout 2 hours in decent traffic. Lots of places to stop and eat as well. You can go over to the mall at 59 and 1960 and there are tons of places to eat, and that puts you about 20 minutes from the stadium I believe. Then there is 105 to 59 and go south and exit that way. Or I10 to 59 north. Problem with that at that time of day is rush hour traffic.
These are the routes I know.

Between 90 and 59 on the Beltway is where the traffic really gets bad and backs up. Not so sure I wouldn't go 105 to 59 and cut back and hit the beltway there. At least you'd be moving and not sitting for who knows how long.

1. I-10W to Loop 610, then take the Hardy Toll Road north towards Beltway 8 and take the Aldine Bender (FM 525) exit off the Hardy Toll Road. Turn right on Aldine Bender and proceed to the stadium. It will not be far at all. You will be able to see the stadium lights when you turn on to Aldine Bender from the Hardy Toll Road. If you have an EZ TAG, then it will be smooth sailing on the Hardy Toll Road. If not, then have some change ready to pay for the tolls. Not much traffic at all on the Hardy Toll Road.

2. I-10W to Loop 610, then take HWY 59N to Aldine Bender. Turn left on Aldie Bender. You will drive a ways towards the stadium. HWY 59 will not have much traffic on it. Since it has been widened, it usually has a smooth traffic flow.

3. I-10W to Loop 610, over to I-45N, take the Aldine Bender exit (FM 525) and turn right on to Aldine-Bender. Proceed a ways over to the stadium. You're getting close when you cross over the Hardy Toll Road. Note: This is the absolute worst way to go. I-45N is horrible. Small lanes and heavy traffic flow. Even the HOV lane is stop and go. Avoid this route, if possible. I would rather get a root canal from a D- dentist vs. driving I-45N in Houston (between Loop 610 and Beltway 8).

Of course, if you do not like I-10, then you can roll down HWY 90 ... Loop 610 does have construction ongoing with narrow lanes, but the traffic flow is usually smooth unless there is a fender-bender or stalled vehicle. HWY 59 and the Hardy Toll Road are smooth sailing 90% of the time. I-45 is a parking lot 90% of the time. The Beltway is hit or miss, especially around the airport (Aldine area).

Go Indians. Peace.

Be safe, give yourselves plenty of time, and enjoy the playoff fun.

:) If you leave at about 2pm. then I-10 to Beltway 8 North past JFK exit (Bush Airport-IAH) to Aldine Westfield Exit, Left on Westfield Right on Aldine Bender you will get there in about 2.5 hours. My father-in-law works at IAH and makes the drive at this time of the day often. Get off the Beltway by 4:45pm or so!!!

That's the route I'm taking. The good news is, we are headed INTO town, so the traffic won't be quite as bad as heading out. It's for that reason that I would steer you away from heading all the way to 610 loop, then trying to head out again, with the other 3 million people on a Friday afternoon.
