Board discussions moved

If anyone is interested in discussing and/or just reading comments regarding board activities, they are no longer available for non-members to read. All topics and such have been moved to a Community Concerns topic for registered members only. Not sure why, as I think this should be open for all concerned. I didn't even know this topic existed until another member contacted me and told me that I had to log in to view.

If you are concerned enough to read about community issues, simply take time to register, it does not take that long.

I think the point was that some people simply like to read and therefore, can't see that particular topic. That's all. I didn't know it was here, either until I signed in because as usual, I have to put in my 2 cents..... ;D

How do I go about doing that NDN fan. I'm registered as far as posting goes...do I need to register again to get into Community Concern topic??

I am seriously considering moving all complaint posts to that area. If the board makes a move tonight, we need to get behind the district and the new person. We could have lots of applicants, but may lose some great ones if this board is ever read. Also, an administrator's job is to keep morale up. The overall morale of this board has slipped, and I will take action to boost it if I find it necessary.

i kind of agree with what you are saying. I really don't think the morale is down, I just think that we are wanting changes. I, for one, am not down. I just think we need changes, and have voiced my concern about it. No matter what happens, I will suppport the team and go the games. As for the other problems with the school, I am glad they are being talked about because without them being posted on here, i would not know about them.

Thank you for saying that modmouse. When things are brought out in the open, it is meant to inform people, not necessarily to gripe. My purpose is not to complain but to inform, maybe I am not wording it correctly and it appears to be a complaint. I can work on that. However, I have always used sarcasm as a tool. With sarcasm, it is like pointing out the obvious and wondering why common sense is not being used. I can make my future points without sarcasm if that is what is desired on this board.

Are you feeling that certain people need to be banned? If so, I can just not post here anymore. Let me know what you want me to do. Thanks!

to be banned is wrong.. our country is base on freedom os speech and others. therefore everyone has the right to voice their opinion, complaints, gripes, etc.
i do not agree with the cursing , if you feel the need to cusss then PM that person!

and removing someones post are not allowing others to read is CENSORSHIP! i am ok with striking out /blacking out the cursing but to fully remove that post i do not agree with! If this board start censoring what we post , then might as well be a commie! THIS IS AMERICA! OUR FOREFATHERS FOUGHT AND DIED FOR OUR RIGHTS TO SPEAK OUR MINDS!

So, are we communistic when we remove a post that gives dirty laundry about a specific student? I ask because we have done it before and will not hesitate to do it again. We have always "moderated" posts. Over the last two years we have agreed to allow more than we used to. I can tell you that the new head coach will be allowed a fair shot at the program, whatever "moderations" are needed.

I agree with the member only that can be allowed to read. It does not hurt or take long to register!

to me if 2 ppl on here have a personality conflict then they should air it out in PM! I for one not want to hear it! But i do feel everyone on this board has the RIGHT to post whatever they want as long it is not porn, profanity, and personal attacks on other members (unless you feel the need then go PM). As for as the coaching staff, school board members it goes with the terriotory , do we censor what ppl say out in public ? you can say things aobut the president that you disagree with as long it is not threaten in nature. The PNGISD and all the staff of PNGISD are public domain , payed for by our tax dollars!

NDNParent, Although the things you are stating are true, as far as America goes, and all that, there's one thing that you have to remember. This is a privately owned board, therefore, everyone, including myself, only has a right to post what the owner of this board deems O.K. to post. The purpose of this board is not to provide a forum for anyone and everyone to say what they want. The purpose of this board is about PNG sports, primarily. And the rules of this board are not much different than any other board that you may join. Some of the things that people may post, may be 100% true, but not in the best interest of PNG schools or sports. It's those kind of posts that may need to be edited, or deleted, for the good of the district. Overall, I'm sure that most everyone on here bleeds purple, and only want the very best for the team and schools, but the frustration of a less than successful season, can bring out some comments that are not what this particular board is about. Regardless of anyones "freedom of speech". On this board, it wasn't free...the owner paid his hard earned money for it.

Well said. In the end, I think most everyone on here wants the same things and I do enjoy reading different sides of issues. At times, my thoughts have been changed when I view it from another perspective. Peace! Happy Holidays all!
