I would like to give kudos to Blair he has matured so much as a running back over this season. He is becoming a monster right before our eyes. He is such a great compliment to Nguyen. He is running with so much more confidence now and is becoming the full package. He could become a very much Trahan type runner with his size and speed. We all know his lineage, but he is writing his own story. He has power, speed, and size. A rare combo at PN-G.

Saban-era Alabama has a long history of fielding a power back and a speed back on the same team, swapping the two out based on the play-calling and the in-game circumstances. It’s served Alabama well over the years. Kirby Smart has done something similar at Georgia with similarly spectacular results.

I feel like we have that dynamic duo with Nguyen and Chatagnier. It’s been fun to watch both of them play this year. Tons of success, hopefully with tons more still left to be had.

I agree about Blair. He is an absolute beast! What I would like to see Blair,Issiah, AND Sean in the same backfield with Connor. Sean gives us the threat of running or doing a RB option pass. No team could stop that backfield.

Back in the day we had the 1-2 punch of Shipley and Eicher. Both strong as bulls with good size and 4.6 40 speed. Of course we ran the power I back then with more of an option game. I wonder how having that dual threat of Chatagnier at fullback and Nguyen at tailback simultaneously would work in 2023.

No doubt we should try it, not to mention if we throw in a few plays with Adams also in the backfield. I just don’t see much downside to it. It would be like having a few double or triple option plays without having to really invest much in developing an option oriented offense.

LC knew Adams was going to hand the ball off each time because he never took his gloves off. He wasn’t going to pass the ball. It’s small things the defense and coaches key in on.
