Found this OLD video on YouTube of the PNG Band blasting Cherokee after learning they advanced in competition. Seems it was played at a faster pace?

Good find. We had PN-G band members from the 1970s and 1980s visit the message board and comment that Cherokee under Directors Albert Long, Sammy Almany, and Karl Wadenpfhul was more uptempo (faster). At any tempo. PN-G's Cherokee sounds good to me, but I favor that louder and more uptempo version from the 1970s and 1980s. It sounded loud. Just my 0.02 cents.

Yep I was there. At the end of the you can see the LCM band kids entering coming over and cheering along. We competed in different divisions that year.
