FINAL: Indians 27, Bulldogs 24

What makes the PN-G win even more impressive? Nederland returned 17 starters this season. 7 on offense and 10 on defense. The Indians underwent a much more challenging rebuild with 4 offensive and 5 defensive starters back from last season.

Nederland had the experience edge but that was not enough to ward off a 27-10 surge by the Indians after falling behind 0-14. Credit is due to the preparation, conditioning, resilience and talent of this PN-G team. Credit is also due to excellent coaching.

All true, but I think mostly the conditioning, in the end. And it's still a mystery why their #10 wasn't in the game 4th qtr and OT. Guys we're talking about that this morning on the golf course.

According to a Nederland fan he was shook up after the hit by our safety. That is why he did not return. If you re-watch the game you will see the collision and him getting up very slowly.

I agree that he was shaken up after that hit, but if you go back watch the tape he was in all 3 of there plays at the end of the 4th quarter and all 3 plays of the over time. He carried the ball twice in overtime. So sounds like sour grapes to me.

That's huge, if true.
@ Broussard81, sour grapes how? By Ned folks? The guys talking about it this morning we're just curious, no sour grapes. I didn't really notice, myself, and haven't watched a replay yet. But it sounds reasonable if he had limited play towards the end of the game. It's football.

#10 is a hell of a player, runs very hard and was first team all district utility his sophomore year

The Indians defense rose to the occasion. Stopped the Nederland running attack. Held them to a FG in OT.

The PN-G offense rose to the occasion. They were not denied. Scoring the winning touchdown in an impressive fashion.

Both teams had the same opportunity. The Indians took it. The nerves and heart of a champion were once again revealed.
