Re: PN-G Indians at Beaumont Ozen

They played the freshman a few plays at the end. Good move since he's the probably starter next year.

Congrats to Kody Cropper and the Indian blockers. Big game running the ball.

Good Win Indians! IMO, Defense was the star tonight. Holding Ozen to 13. Gave up some big plays but buckled down when it counted.
Good debut for the freshman QB, moved up from JV. He's going to be a play maker for sure. What's the word on Runnels? He went out with what looked like a arm or hand injury.
Hats off to Cropper! Fastest person on the field!

Re: PN-G Indians at Beaumont Ozen

Thanks for posting the stats. Nice run/pass balance in terms of attempts and yards. Yards per rush is off the charts good. Only 4 penalties for 35 yards shows discipline after a tough week from MCM. All of those stats prove this team can rebound and get back its mojo. Great job, PN-G coaching staff. After the opening Ozen drive, the defense pretty much held the Panthers in check. The long Ozen drive in the second half ended in zero points and even though Ozen piled up yards during the game, the Indian defense controlled the tempo of the game in the second half, especially during the 4Q. It sounds odd to say this out loud because you rarely win a game in the first half alone, but it felt as if PN-G took control of the game and knew it had a W when the Indians scored with seconds to go right before halftime. 28-13 lead at half took Ozen out of the game. In the second half, it seemed PN-G controlled the tempo, never felt its lead was threatened, and the OL made sure the run game burned clock when we had the ball. The Indians did not have the ball much in the second half, but when they did, they did what they wanted to do and kept the clock rolling. The offensive and defensive staffs called an excellent game on both sides and nailed another W in the march to the playoffs. Next up, Central. If PN-G can duplicate its balance, play fast and mistake-free, and continue with its bend but don't break defense, they will get another W. Have a good week of practice Indians and keep your mojo going.

Go Indians. Peace.

Fewer mistakes in this game. The past is the past, but THIS team would be undefeated this season if they play to their potential.

Neither WO-S nor Nederland would have walked away with wins with this group firing on all cylinders.

Keep working hard on executing and avoiding mistakes and you can go far in the playoffs.
