FINAL: PN-G Indians 39, Huntsville Hornets 29

Sigh … ok I’ve worked 73 hours this week - exhausted - going to bed - hoping for the best.

* we’re overrated hard core
* throws are way over and I don’t understand why we don’t have that down.
* one in our secondary has been exposed all season and can’t tackle
* I hate our run up the middle strategy - for a couple of years now
* kicking game …. Why???

No one has proved me wrong yet. God bless - nite

21-10 end of half. Need to totally turn things around second half. Worst performance of season at most inopportune time so far. Big time trouble if can’t get a stop to start half.

“Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.”
— Darrell Royal

Unfortunately the Indians excellent passing game has short circuited tonight so far. Not so much due to Huntsville’s defense, although they are catching the interceptions. Bailey was slightly off on a couple of passes on the first drive, one would have been a TD before the FG. Two long passes were open but dropped or slightly overthrown. And of course the INT. It’s there but not executing.

Someone came into this game unprepared can’t tell if the players got overconfident or the coaches didn’t watch enough film.From sketchy play calling and continuing to throw when were running all over them or just continuing to let them run outside EVERY SINGLE DOWN games not over but need a jolt at the half.

No need to pass the way we’re passing. We keep throwing to double or even quadruple coverage. We don’t need to try to make Bailey win this by himself. It’s stupid. We wasted our first drive passing at the 15 yard line after running it right down their throats.

This is a great game to learn from.
Huntsville has so many weapons.
Our D line is getting boxed in for outside runs. Huntsville wants it more right now.
Secondary is exposed. Missed coverage.
Second half will tell us what kind of heart we have. Find a way to win it.

Lunceford had it right on the NDN Press broadcast. We just got punched in the mouth.

On the bright side, the Magnificent Seven has my all-time favorite theme song for a Western.
