FINAL: Port Neches-Groves 55, Texas City 23

[NDNzeke]

From riches to rags after opening half TD by Henry. But great game overall and lots of kids got experience in 2nd half.

Great start! Great play by the defense and special teams. The offense took some steps forward. Glad all the kids got playing time on homecoming. On to Dayton!!! GO INDIANS!!!

Usually agree with you but it was 55-6 with Texas city having NO CHANCE to comeback,Only reason ANY starters should be in at that point should be offense just to get some reps.

More about concern with how many points a 200 YPG back could score against a sophomore backup defense. That lead can disappear quickly.

But everyone played and all is good. Great win. Good luck to TC the remainder of the season.

All-Time W-L Record is now 674 - 374 - 33 (62.3%). We are probably two seasons away from 700 wins. 101 seasons of football and soon-to-be 700 wins. Not too shabby. Coach Joseph is now 56-10 (84.4%). GO INDIANS!!!

#41 in wins out of all Texas high schools. #1 in SE Texas. #2 if you include Jasper as SE Texas.
