FINAL: SOC 28, PNG 0

An odd thing happened to me at this game.
I bought two tickets to this game, as is my custom, but when I tried to re-enter at halftime they said my second ticket was already used. They still let me back in but I'm wondering what happened? I'm certain they did not scan both when I first entered.

Speaking of being a "poor winner," I'll never forget seeing "Plano #1" scrawled all over the back of my car's windshield at Texas Stadium after our unexpected loss to them in 1977. At least I didn't have a flat tire, like the people parked close to me. Not sure if that was intentional, or just an unfortunate circumstance.
Yea I remember all the TJ fans with "Who beat the Indians? Just the Plain O Wildcats!" on their back windows....funny little boogers.

It’s pointless. The concepts that have been traditionally accepted as good in sports are not on the radar of all teams and players. They’ll have some reason that something was done and it’ll be the other guys fault.
Classic “Rules for thee but not for me”.

Toddlers don’t shake hands
It takes the emotional intelligence of at least a 3 year old to get that concept
And THE COACH (entire staff)
is 100% to blame and it shows his malice for the competition (anyone who’s not him)
I won’t hide how much I DONT respect the whole system that created the south oak cliff football “programming”
I don’t care who sees it
And I’d love to see their program demolished
Don’t worry it’s coming maybe not now but it will.

I am not going to forget.
Neither am I going to let SOC live in my brain until the next game.
Let's focus on what we have.
Let's also try to do something about UIL rules.

Exactly. PNG fans need to have a moratorium on talking about SOC. We give them too much air time, letting them live rent free. PNG has something special, and we’re in a great chapter of our history. Let’s not taint it with bitterness.

Yes. Take the good from it and move forward.
Indians lost the game. But they were not intimidated or dominated. A tough Indians team made outstanding plays all night. The final score was not indicative of the play on the field.

On defense the Indians held the other team to a season low in rushing yards, holding their star running back duo to 77 yards on 26 carries. After they ran for nearly 500 yards the previous game. Far from the best rushing performance the Indians faced this year. They were also held to their second lowest point total of the season. With the proven PNG offense featuring Bailey moving the ball and clock, it’s not a stretch that a tired Indian defense would not have yielded 14 points and the padded stats in the fourth quarter.

Without a healthy Conner Bailey at the helm, this game goes in the history book with an asterisk because he would have been able to distribute the ball to his receivers as he did all season, Henry and Diaz would have been running less against a stacked defense, and the balanced PNG offense would have rounded out the great performance of the PNG defense. But neither team will ever know what that game would have looked like.

Great PNG fan support, great PNG halftime performance and great representation overall. It’s what Texas high school football is all about. Not all the other nonsense. But every team wins some and loses some. Now it’s time to move on, celebrate a great 2025 season and team, and look forward to a great 2026 team which will include a lot of returning stars and the addition of a fantastic homegrown freshman class. All coached by one of the best 5AD2 staff in the entire state. And on the verge of having some great new facilities that will make the offseason even more effective. They’ll be back.

That sums it all up perfectly. Count our blessings and on to bigger and better things in the future.

Will be interesting to see how they fill out the lines. We have some big kiddos coming up. Two very capable and different style QBs. An amazing wr group and secondary. I see no reason why we will have a big dropoff next year all the while 2027 should be absolutely loaded. Im gonna talk to some underclassmen families and get some better info. My freshman contact is very excited for that team. He said it reminds him of the first years team under JJ.

Honestly, I think the only question mark next year is Oline. Every else we seem to be pretty solid with starters; mayb depth will also be a question.

PN-G has consistently built a good offensive line. I can’t recall the last year that the o-line wasn’t a strength. Ace Reeves will be the anchor and will follow in the mold of Burt/Ware/Christian/Wolford as the leader of the offensive line. We shall see which players step up in the offseason and build strength, endurance, technique and study film to become the next great offensive lineman.
