Impressive effort tonight. Their best game of the season by far - and the most exciting. I really thought they were going to pull off a huge upset. Indian pride showed up big tonight!

Take it back. Montgomery will beat FBM. Barbers Hill better not sleep on perineal pincushion Galena Park not this year. I may have to go to the Crosby v Texas High game (yes I’m doing a lot of assuming here) I believe it will be between Texas High and Huntsville for region III obviously.

All I can is WOW, what a game. A great effort by the kids and coaches. The PN-G defense played big boy football and made some great stops. Hats off to the defensive coaches. They called the right run blitz packages at the right time and the kids on defense played 100 mph. The entire defense was exponentially better than what I saw at Texas City. Best effort and game by the PN-G defense all season. Take away the big run by the Buffs and the PN-G defense was dominant. I attended two games this season. Texas City and FBM. I left the Texas City game sick to my stomach. I left the FBM game fired up for the Indians. PN-G was close to pulling off the shocker. When the Indians got the ball back in the 4Q, down a TD, with 6 minutes left in the game, I thought that little 'ol slow PN-G was going to steal a W. FBM was a paper tiger. The Buffs had some tall, big kids and lots of speed, but they were soft. They had kids that looked like Tarzan, but they played like Jane. PN-G hit them in the mouth and kept coming. Where has that PN-G mean streak been all season? Bost was a man among boys. Only question I had was, why abandon the run in the 4Q? The Indians controlled the ball, the tempo, and the run game (Bost) was moving the ball. Stick with the run game and hit the Buffs with more body blows. FBM was gassed.Go The Indian offense had control of the line of scrimmage. Just run it. Great game by all of the PN-G kids. Loved the effort. As the game wore on, you could tell our kids believed. They were there to win it. Officiating was terrible. Too many blown calls to write about...offensive PI, are you kidding me? The old formula still works: control the ball, control the clock, control the tempo, play good defense, and take your shot to win it at the end. GREAT GAME INDIANS. If the Indians played that type of ball vs. Barbers Hill, Texas City, and Crosby, the DC trophy would be sitting in the PN-G trophy case.

Go Indians. Peace.

Only reason I’m sharing this is because I’d love to see PNG do a broadcast like this Texarkanagameday.com the game is live now.

Very nice and I agree it would be a great endeavor for the high school media class. They’d need to find a play by play announcer that can do a professional job. The current radio format and content would not work.

I would love for PN-GISD to hire Dave Hofferth. He is a pro's pro. Best play-by-play voice in SETX. No idea who would be Dave's sidekick, but if nothing else, he could carry the broadcast all by himself from start to finish. Go Indians. Peace.

In re: chatter about the fake FG and the 4Q bomb that resulted in an INT, I have no issue with either play call. The fake FG was a roll of the dice. When you play a team that everyone says is the Goliath of Region 3, and you have a deficiency in talent when compared to your opponent, then using a bag of tricks should be expected. I'm fine with the fake FG. PN-G gave it shot and the Buffs stuffed it. Tip of the cap to FBM. The long 4Q bomb...well, you take a shot and sometimes it works and other times the DB makes a play. Yes, the run game was working and taking a toll on FBM. Bost was gashing the Buffs all night long with his legs. In hindsight, the deep ball was a 50/50 ball and the DB for FBM got the ball. It happens.

Outside of the long run by FBM, PN-G had control of the game. The Indians made the Buffs earn every point on the scoreboard. The turnover on downs by the Indians was a bummer. When Bost barely overthrew the WR, that was a nail-biter. The play was there. The WR was open. The throw was just a tad off. No big deal. You can't make every perfect throw when the other teams is trying to crucify you and break your arm. I give Bost credit for making play after play. Standing tall and making throws when getting hit. Tough to do and he did it all night long. He is one tough kid and incredible talent. The WR Nail was awesome. Another tough kid.

Looking back, there were a handful of plays that determined the game. I was thrilled that PN-G fought, kicked, punched, clawed, and hammered its way to a 4Q shot at winning the game. The W was there for the taking and the Indians played their asses off. I was proud of every kid on that sideline. Great gameplan by the coaches and great effort by the kids. Nothing to be upset about or hang your head about. After seeing that game, I wished PN-G had another game. The Indians found their mojo and mean streak!

Go Indians. Peace.

Abandoning the run is a PN-G tradition. Stephenville in 1999, Rosenberg Lamar in 2007.

Don’t forget Bo Wortham (1998-99), Derek Gohlke (2002-03), Josh Cook (2003-04), Hemmings (2005-07), Halfin (2013-2014), Cropper (2014-15) and Preston Hughes (2016-17). You have to count Roschon Johnson (2016-18) as a running back as well since he was the primary runner.

All exciting running backs. Along with Harmon (2007-09) and Bertrand (2010-11), the Indians have had a long series of fast and tough runners.

Not sure how much credit is due, but the common denominator with several of those backs was previous coach Kyle Segura.

It IS amazing how many talented runners we've had at PN-G over the years. I wonder if Koby Trahan will be moved back to RB next year. He showed a lot of speed on D this year and looked good running the ball as a soph. #41 looked pretty good during that last TD drive during the Santa Fe game. I think they said his last name was Reed during the radio broadcast.

Newcomer Tommy Reed will be one to watch next year as a Junior. Fans got a taste of his abilities during the Santa Fe game. Kid is super athletic and very fast.

The camera work is all students and have greatly improved throughout the year in the beginning it was a bit of a chore to watch. Haha. But even student field reporters. Made this year a little more bearable first season in 12 years I didn’t go to a PNG GAME and first time in maybe 18-20 I didn’t go to a single live game. At least I got to watch a team close to me and they’re not too bad this year. Down to 3rd string RB should be an evenly matched game with Crosby.

I think the UIL would be smart to allow broadcasts from now on. their reasoning is that more people would go to the live game but I disagree with that reasoning. For most towns I believe it would only generate MORE interest overall.
