As this PNG squad looks into the proverbial face of a force that has destroyed all other opponents this year, they stand on the edge of possibility. Of reaching deep and pulling off the seemingly impossible, or simply playing for pride and keeping the score close. The thing to do is go 100% every play, every second and fight for the win. They have not done that this year with the exception of maybe the Nederland game. But Nederland is nothing compared to FBM. This game will require a level of effort and excellence that hasn’t been reached yet.
This is a good PN-G offense with elements of greatness ready to be unleashed. Blake Bost is statistically one of the best quarterbacks to ever wear purple and white. His cohorts have ability to help move the ball. If Bost is given time to throw and he’s in top form, they will score.
But the defense has to at least get a few stops to keep it balanced. They absolutely must take good angles and tackle effectively.
On kickoffs either put it in the end zone or squib kick deep. Don’t let these guys run kicks back for TDs.
It’s time for David to slay Goliath. Believe in and fight for each other until the end. And enjoy the great experience of playing the great game of football as a PN-G Indian.
