I can tell you this is going to be a long season for PNG if they can't get the O-line to work.

I just don't see PNG doing a lot of damage this yr this is going to be a down yr for PNG imo. They will probably make the playoffs but get beat in the first round.
We don't have anyone that can block him one on one.
Guys, we lost 50-15 to Memorial in the 2022 season opener. We played in Dallas three and a half months later.
We lost 24-7 to Memorial in the 2023 season opener. We didn't lose another game the rest of the season and finished with a state title.
Memorial is a big, physical, talented team that always gets up to play against us. They are excatly the kind of predistrict opponent we need to play to know what we need to work on. It is far, far too early in the season to assume doom and gloom because we're losing to Memorial by multiple scores just like we did the last time we won state.

Yes I think this yr is going to be a long one imo but in a way it is a good thing to get hit in the mouth in the beginning because then you know what you need to work on to get better.

Aledo is getting blown out against North Crowley.
Yep, that's the difference in this ball game. Offensive line and special teams need a TON of work this next week.

Too much negativity. The Indians didn’t play their best game, with several self inflicted wounds, and kept it within a touchdown against a good 5A-D1 team. More work to be done, but it will be done. Coaches saw what they needed to see, and the players will use this game to improve.
Congratulations to Port Arthur Memorial on the win. Unfortunately a petty decision by the Memorial band to play a kindergarten version of Cherokee taints what could have been a classy win. Also clear that Memorial’s QB would still be #3 or #4 on the PNG depth chart.
