Last Nights game

While the final outcome on the scoreboard was very disappointing, we really didn't lose any ground last night against Ned. In fact, I would say we should look at last nights game and say to ourselves we can beat every team in our district! I say that because we controlled that game VERY WELL as far as tempo and execution of our plan goes! I have read a lot on the other board that many believe we lost that game in the final minute and a half. Sure, we could have challenged them and the end of the game would have looked different and the outcome MAY have been different but it might not have been any different also. We will never know. One thing I do know is that I believe we lost that game early in the fourth quarter when we had a 7 point lead and failed to control the tempo for about a minute. We let them get the speed of the game up for just a minute or two and that is when they came back and even went ahead by a point. Our kids played their ASSES off against a team that is ranked #20 in the state! We weren't even supposed to be in that game but we were!! Right up to the buzzer we we played hard! I am very proud of every kid on that team! And Coach Abel!

We need to keep our heads up and bounce back on Tuesday. We are still in fourth place and holding our destiny in our own hands!!! Basically, as far as the playoffs go, WIN and you're IN!

A great place to be at this point!

I did not get to make the game, but from what I understand, it was a great game. One of the best since last 2OT game in Nederland. That game should tell the team that the playoffs are in their grasp. They have to believe now that they can beat Ozen at home next Friday. If they play as well as they did against Nederland, they won't lose the rest of the district games! This team comes together more and more each game. Watch out District 20-4A for the Indians!

Awesome game, the only problem I had was with the Ned fans mouthing on the court. There was some back and forth, but I don't understand why if a team is playing at someone else's gym and you win a big game like that why you have to hang out on thier court and mouth the way they did. It wasn't all Ned fans, but a group of them. Anyways, congrats to PNG for putting up a hard fight.

I agree with you! Also, what about their player mouthing back at ref? Overall, I am proud of our boys, but I was absolutely sick when that game got over. Our son was in from Phoenix and we all went to the game. How sad that some people from Nederland acted that way. BTW, I'd love to see #15's (hope I remember his number right--I'm referring to the big guy that got fouled out) birth certificate. He looks like a 30 year old man.

I realize i'm late in answering these particular posts, but I've been a mite bit busy! It could've been much worse--we could've moved during baseball/softball season or, God forbid, football season! lol As it was, I was lucky I got to go to one basketball game (Nederland) and hope to see them perform during the playoffs. My hubby is doing fine, just "chomping at the bits" because his doctor won't let him do anything!! He hates to see me outwork him. (joking, of course!)
