We had some iffy snaps and penalties, but the Indians got a solid win in round two. Willowridge had size and big play ability, but the little 'ol Indians just kept fighting and making some plays of their own. The new RB hits the hole fast and he will stick his helmet in the middle of a defender for a few extra yards. QB is a great leader. I'm guessing the QB and RB each ran for 100 - 125 yards and the QB probably racked up 200+ through the air. Nice to see the RB closing out the game with a 35-40 yard TD run...he showed some wheels. Can't say enough about the defense. 11 kinds getting to the football. DL clogged up the middle and the kids ran down the Willowridge QB. After the first Willowridge TD drive, I thought, "wow, they made that look easy." But, the Indian defense got after those Eagles. Willowridge moved the ball some, but PN-G never let them have a big play for a TD. You could tell Willowridge was just waiting to make a big play and get some momentum. But, that Indian defense bent a little bit, but never broke apart. I wish PN-G could play more playoff games at Stallworth. Easy drive from Houston, decent room for parking at the stadium, it holds the PN-G crowd with some room to spare, and it has a nice looking field. Plus, the Indians are 3-0 there this season. The Baytown Reservation.
Go Indians. Peace.
