Just heard from someone who went to a meet the coaches night. He was pretty impressed with them all. Said these coaches really seem to have it together. Very motivational. They were told that they would even be at all middle school names and by the time they got to high school, they would already know all their names. Anyone else have comments that was there?

It was probably for parents of football players, that's why we didn't hear about it. I am sure we will have oppurtunties to meet these coaches. Coach Faircloth and the 3 new coaches he has brought in have been very accessible and are making their presence known. I'll say it again..I am beside myself I am so excited for what the future holds for our program. I can't wait for football season! Matter of fact, I won't wait.. I will be at the 1st practice tomorrow.

I have met Coach Faircloth and have listened to him give information about the booster clubs he has been associated with. And since he probably was not born when I graduated High School I am going to call him Brandon!!! No disrespect intended. He is very articulate and very confident!!! I like that. I didn't go to meet the coaches night, but a friend of mine did and she said they are ALL GREAT!! So lets all get ready to stand and cheer during Cherokee and lets get ready for something we haven't seen in a long time!! The building of the program has returned to PNG and we have to remember to give them time to let it sink in to brains of the boys as well as the other coaches. Scalp 'em Indians!!

I was told by a boy on the team that is is 2 PM for varsity. Either that's right or he's going to be in trouble when he shows up an hour late! :)

Channel 7 says 1pm for JV and 2pm for Varsity. The complete schedule is on Channel 7.
Someone PLEASE post on what you saw today and what you liked, didn't like, etc. Someone whom I live with obligated himself to work Riverfest at this time. I am not a happy camper right now!

The JV was out there for an hour. Then the Varsity came out for 2 hours. It looked as though the JV stayed for the Varsity's 2 hours. There was always something going on - in fact several somethings going on. The offence was fun to watch. Several receivers going everywhere. I am really looking forward to football season this year!

Well, guess what! I got to go to the practice. I really liked what I saw. Coaches were coaching the boys on the proper way to tackle and block and making sure the basics were down solid. The coaches were all out there working and not just on the sidelines. The boys looked to be in great shape. Doty looked good, even though he messed up his leg and has stitches in it (cut it while running the stands). Harmon looked absolute awesome carrying the ball. In pads on the first day of spring practice--who'd of thought! Coach F. was so cool sending in signals from the sidelines. His buddy was next to him taking notes as need be. Everyone was hyped up and the stands looked to be almost half full. James Ware and a cameraman from Fox 4 were there filming so watch TV tonight. Also, Monday is the last day for early voting. Go vote!

Let the excitement BEGIN ! ! ! ! That was the first practice on a totally new system? Like nothing we've ever seen ! ! ! ! I was expecting a slow introduction to the new system. These kids are ready to go. As an ex-Cowboy would say "Get your popcorn ready".

Sounds like Big Purple football is back in town.

Sound like you're going to have to make a road trip this year and watch them in person. And if ya do....I've got a seat for ya!

Since MCM is at home this year, that is probably the one I will come down for.
