Mock realignment

I like the La Porte game announcers, stadium, and fans.

In mock alignment Barbers Hill shown as 6A in same district as North Shore. Richmond Randle is shown in 5AD1. Sulfur Springs is still 4AD1 no playoff chance in 5AD2. Melissa and Prosper Walnut Grove shown in 5AD1 good news for Coach Dodge at Lovejoy.

Regions have eight districts each. Region 3 District 11 would play Region 3 District 12 in bi-district:
Iowa Colony 12-2 (only losses are to Randle 2yrs)
Richmond Tomas new school
Fort Bend Marshall 6-4
Rosenberg Terry 3-7
Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated 3-7
Fort Bend Crawford 12-2 in 4AD1 2025
Fort Bend Kempner 4-6
Victoria West? 10-3

Regions have 4 districts each, except for in 6A.

Iowa Colony is also above the DI cutoff so they’ll be moving up with Randle.

So what is the purpose of realignment? I think its a simple question to keep schools close to other schools in their size in order for competitive competition. So when school districts manipulate the attendance or draw multiple schools within the district to one single school is stacking the desk and unfair to districts who are smaller in size who don't have a 10 or so high schools to pull from.

You could even add what’s the purpose of classifications to your question.

If you have a 1500-1600 student, or whatever size school who can essentially build from a pool of 140,000 students to build its athletic program, is that really a 5A-D2 team? No.

Put that type of school in a 7A classification. Let them play similar ‘arranged programs’ for a state championship.

Funny cause that is what the UIL makes private schools do if they wanna play in UIL. Why? Because as they say they have an “unfair advantage” with the ability to accept any transfer. Hmmmm. Seems hypocritical to me.

Yes but not a surprise considering the way the UIL and DCTX can’t talk enough about the Dallas Metroplex area teams. And the self declared ‘Legend’ makes comments like “This about the City of Dallas against evabody else…”. So apparently some coaches feel entitled to build a team from the entire city. It seems that it’s all accepted with a wink and a nod.

If the mock UIL re-alignment becomes reality, there are only 2 non-district games with 8 teams in the district. But I agree those two games should be very strong teams and not cupcakes.

Dallas-based ref team for Randle vs SOC. I guess where the refs are from only matters when they aren’t from Dallas.

Instead of quoting I wanna agree with the last several posts

I said before that PAM should be on the predistrict slate like LaPorte. Maybe GPNS is a good idea? I believe PNG's defense is good enough for that matchup.

Also, I beleive PNG would beat Randle by 10

Yep! It definitely wasn’t a matchup between the two BEST teams in 5A div II this year but blame that on the UIL’s politics, agenda, inability to read a MAP or whatever their reasoning was for putting PNG in Region 2!
