But we lost pretty bad to PAM the year we won state. Amazing

I believe we lost to them 50-15 at home in Coach Joseph's first game in 2022. We later played in the state championship game. There was rapid, significant improvement that season after the first loss. Fort Bend Marshall was a loss on the road in a blistering hot game on a Saturday afternoon. We would later get revenge on them in our playoff run.

In 2023 at PAM, we lost a closer game and ended up winning state. So, those non-district games are good for getting better. And a loss or two along the way to state (before the playoffs) can help you get better and refocus.

After the back and forth all last season in Ashley Elam’s Golden Triangle top 10s, I’d love to see a win. Memorial is the kinda matchup that worries me, but ultimately, these are the games to prepare for the late round playoff games we hope to see.
