Can someone bring me up to date on PNG injury list. I wasn't available to listen or watch all of last Friday's game. I am sure injuries were talked about on one of the prodcasts. Thanks

Speaking of special teams…how about those hits our kicker has been dishing out on those kick returners!! He’s saved us from having SEVERAL returned for TD’s…might need to give him some reps on DEFENSE!!
You are spot on. #18 and #6 appear to be the only players that can tackle on kickoffs.

Maybe in pregame warmup's #18 can practice with a tackling dummy instead of kicks?

In a close game as the seconds tick down would hate to see an injured #18 on the bench unable to perform. He should not constantly be entangled in a pileup at midfield.

Maybe there can be an all district category for most saving TD tackles in the season.

A Kicking strategy that puts the ball in the hands of the opponent’s best open field runner at their 10-15 yard line game after game is no strategy but the definition of insanity once again.

Just a thought. This may not be an intended strategy. Kicking a football is not exactly a precise action. I would guess that there is easily a 10-15 yard variable factor on where the ball lands. Caught on the 10? Maybe the kicker was intending to drop it in the end zone. Caught on the 15 or 20? Maybe the intent was a pooch kick that went too far.

Same goes for punts. An average high school kicker is not going to have the same level of control and leg strength as college or pro kickers. Add in the atmospheric factors and kicks don’t always land where intended.

IndianFan - is this PNG's first Thursday night playoff game? PNG has played regular season games on Thursdays, but I don't recall any playoff games taking place on a Thursday. Here's to PNG starting a winning streak on Thursday night playoff games. Got my tickets and I am excited to see the Indians at Randall Reed Stadium. There is nothing better than playoff football when PNG is in the mix. GO INDIANS!

Katy plays Cy Falls on Friday, November 22. Maybe Coach Gary Joseph will be at Randall Reed on Thursday night? Another set of eyes on the Indians...that never hurts.

Not sure that we have that level of detail readily available in the historical data. I would guess it’s rare at a minimum if not the first time.

Seems that Wednesday or Thursday games would more typically be something seen during the SC week ‘presentations’ each year in Dallas. When the lowest classification teams are forced to play early in the week.
