Here are the results with one evenings worth of games to play. I have arranged us by highest percentage of correct picks and then grouped everyone by the number of games they have played. LU Cards has a commanding lead with an impressive 84%. 1989NDN is running second at 80% and several of us have achieved over 75%. Really when I started this I would have thought we would have many people on here that would have come in around 50% or so. Maybe I needed to include more games to make it a bit more challenging. At any rate it has been fun for me to have this much participation this year on this! Thank You to all who have participated even if you didn't participate in every game you helped to make this season's pickem an entertaining and worthwhile investment of my time this year. I started this to try and help draw attention to the basketball forum and thereby drawing attention to our Indian basketball team. I feel like this goal has been accomplished to some degree and there may be at least one person out there who has become a fan of Indian Basketball through these efforts. (the team making the play-offs doesn't hurt either! ;D)

I would also like to mention that OldEagle has managed in impressive 65% winning rate even though he picked AGAINST Nederland in EVERY GAME! I also believe he never picked against PNG. He probably could've really run away with this had there been a winning prize worth it! ;) ;)

Once again I really appreciate everyone who has participated in this season's Pick'em Games! You have all done a great job!

You are correct carzan. I did pick against Nederland every week (except for one week early in the contest). I am not particularly anti-Nederland but believed that because of the way they were playing that someone was going to upset them and I wanted to be right that particular night. If you check their scores you would see they would be close at halftime with teams they should be blowing away and then would open the 3rd quarter with a 25-0 run (or something like that). Look at their last game - Senior Night, playing for the District Championship and they did not play well. I hope they get their act together in the playoffs and play all 4 quarters and represent our district well. That said, I picked LCM to beat them this week!

OK guys, All hail Lu cards and Justafan and 1989NDN as masters of 2011 NDN pickem. They have proven to be lucky, uh hum, I mean knowledgeable in the ebb and flow of the local basketball scene beyond measure. Had this been a driving test these guys would've been offered a chauffeur because they blew the top off the test. Only Chuck Norris could possibly stand toe to toe with these "sensei's" of the hardwood! Their mastery of understanding wins and losses can not be replicated nor duplicated. It can only be held up on high for the rest of us to admire, envy and cherish. For we witnessed greatness this season from guys who aren't your average beer drinkers! No, we witnessed the almighty hand of God himself lead these men through the valley of the dark gymnasium and into the light of Pickem Paradise! Great Job guys!!! I'll let Chuck know you're gunning for him next year. ;D ;D ;D ;D
