I like Butch because it's close to home and because we are undefeated there. I understand coaches hang a lot on having a record like that in a certain stadium. I don't like Butch because it is too small for a playoff game. It's smaller than our stadium for crying out loud.
I like the butch except for the upper view at times. I don't think last year we sold out our side and there was plenty of seating. I think when the cold weather hits and stays a while, some fans choose to stay home. From the meeting, if we play Dayton we will prob play at the butch, if we play BH then at stallworth. I personally don't like stallworth. I know that whoever we play in Round 1 will be a fight to the finish. I can't say who we have a better chance against. BH has been strong all year. I think this year their district is weak except for Crosby and Dayton. Dayton has been coming on strong since their last loss. They did beat Crosby. Whichever team we play the boys will have to play to perfection. Cause if we play and beat BH we would get Brenham in the second round. If we play and beat Dayton we would have a possible easier road thru to the 3rd round or quarter finals till you face Dawson, Manvel or Brenham. Don't get me wrong, I like our chances in either game, BH or Dayton. I think we would match up better with Dayton at this time. We need to win this Friday and have Vidor beat Livingston to meet up with Dayton. On another note, I really hope our boys don't walk into the Central game thinking they won it already. Central always plays us hard. We need to go into the playoffs with another win. Keep the momentum going in the right direction.

I agree--we must play hard. I've been singing vidor's fight song all week long! I personally wouldn't mind playing Brenham. The more we play them, the sooner we will prevail! I want to beat two teams badly--Nederland and then Brenham. Oh, I forgot Manvel and their dirty playing. So, I guess there are 3 teams I want to beat up on. Shut-outs would be nice, Coach!~

The way I see it, our boys got two weeks of practice before Livingston, a week each before Lumberton and Vidor. If we play BH then that would mean five weeks of practice against that offense before playing BH. I was impressed with how much better we played against Vidor (week four of practice against the Slot T) than against Livingston (week two of practice against the Slot T). I think we probably matchup better against BH because of this. Dayton has speed. Not sure I want to test it??
