I was impressed with the defense. Coach Woodard seems to have them on the right track. Coach Faircloth will get tge offense going he is so good at that

prepballfan, I agree, the offense will get better each game. I was only disappointed some with (not many) arm tackles on defense on receivers and and runners. Have to wrap them up from the waist down and then they go down.

Agreed ... Just reiterates the need to play your best players non qb on both sides of the ball imo.

PNG’s weakness on the offense this year is the receivers. From 1-4 they don’t have anybody that can match up to any of the cores they have had in the past since Fairclothe has been here. They may have tore it up on the lower levels but varsity is a different game. Somebody is going to need to step up and put on their big boy pants and make some plays or we are going to be a strictly run offense and sprinkle in a pass or two like the old days.

Not much size, speed, or quickness at the WR spots. WRs are not able to get much separation or open space. Thus, the QB is forced to make throws into a small window. Playbook was vanilla. The good news is the RB runs north and south and he has a burst of speed when he totes the rock.

I can only remember one pass where a receiver was really open - the one to Carson Wallace (#13). Otherwise Crippen had to make throws into very tight windows. Probably fortunate there were no picks. But Faircloth is very creative with his offensive schemes. I think he'll figure out a way to get the receivers open. And add in some wheel routes to Trahan and Bergeron.
