I watched spring practice, 2 a days, and what I am seeing is a portion of what I saw then. There is a bit more stuff that they have not used once since i watched then in practice, Ill save the details, but thee is more.

In 2022 PNG got punished by FBM in district play. PAM hanged 50. I, me, not you, myself thought JJ was a bust hire.

Too many mental errors by OL at the wrong times.

I expected QB to sacked on the last two drives. OL pass protection held up.

We’re officially just a Faircloth offense now. Every game is a “who can make big plays” contest and we have no ability to take control of the game. Crawford’s main path to victory was us trying to match them for star power and we gave it to them. We had the ball in their red zone at least three times, maybe four, and came away with no points. We pass nearly every play, the most predictable, vanilla offense we’ve had in years. I can’t tell if this is because the o-line isn’t good or because this is what the OC wants us to be. And we’re calling pass plays that Randy Moss couldn’t get open for. It’s the most bored I’ve been watching png in years, just watching incomplete passes with us being saved by improbable catches and penalties. I’m not saying it can’t get better, but I’m not sure where it can. I trust that it will. We’re not a bad team, but we’re not a good team yet.

What game did some of you watch? Driving back to Houston tonight I wondered what was being said here on the message board. Take a step back. It was a great game. FBC is as advertised. Big, athletic, and aggressive on both sides of the ball. They have playmakers all over the field. They are not a one man team with #3. The catch by #3 for the TD at the goal line, in traffic, was an outstanding throw and catch. Our kids played hard and had a shot to win, but it didn't happen. The OC called a good game. Ashworth stood tough in the pocket and made a bunch of great throws. On some of the throws he missed, he was pressured and took a lot hits. It's not like he's standing there smelling the roses and making bad throws. He's under pressure and the defenders are trying to knock his ass out. He played well in both the passing game and run game. Tyson Henry ran hard and got some tough nasty yards. The OL did the best they could do. FBC was bigger across the board and blitzing 80% of the time. If FBC brings six or seven, its hard for our five OL to block them all. The defense played their asses off. Great job containing #3--as best as he can be contained--and good job competing. Secondary made big INTs. FBC is not rolling out average talent, they have playmakers. Heal up, watch the film, correct the mistakes, and get ready for a really good Brenham team. I'll be there next week in Blue Bell country. GO INDIANS!!!

Well, all I can say is history has shown it’s real hard to beat PNG twice in the same season, so I’m confident we’ll be ready if we get a re-match! Crawford is as advertised…props to them, but yet again…we beat ourselves with all the self inflicted mistakes and mental errors! The ATROCIOUS officiating certainly didn’t help…ugh! Idk what was up with the play calling but hopefully some of that was just not wanting to put too much on film, because we very likely will see them again!

Well said. In an earlier season tweet said a few “chicken littles the sky is falling” would surface while the OL and DL/MLBs were rebuilt. Our QB finished his 6th game behind a rebuilt OL not 30+ games behind College D1 Tackles.
Seven WRs are starting only their first or second seasons at the position. Very Very happy with the development of the defense. What a PNG secondary. I vote for #4 as District Defensive MVP right now.
