To be clear, there have been plenty of positives. At times, the offense had a pretty smart approach. And the defense is developing nicely. I don’t believe we’re a bad team and I think there will be great improvement over the course of the season. That improvement is going to have to be in the running game and the o-line. Lots of bright spots.

Could have been better. Could have been a lot worse. Correct the penalties, dropped passes and run blocking and that’s a different ball game. Even with all that, we lost by less than 7 to a more experienced team and had a good shot at winning at the end. My instinct was to hope the Indians would run the ball for 3 yards every play until the end and shove it across for the winning TD as time ran out. But Crawford’s front 7 was too tough for that apparently. Maybe. Tough to see the L but not the end of the world. Beat a very good Brenham next week and all is well and back on track. Whatever happens, PNG will have the experience of playing 3 pretty good teams and will hopefully take away some areas to improve before district and the playoffs. I believe in this coaching staff and team.

#3 is a man child. College D1 commit to Old Miss. watching their WRs sometimes lined up 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage appears they don’t understand what’s happening to them.

Run game seems a bit better closer to the red zone. Interesting.

PNG OL was taking the fight to them. OL conditioning was impressive.
