35-28 NDNs take back the lead!!! 1:36 left in the game.

Also, whomever shot off the flare from the PNG student section needs to be arrested.

If the D plays like this, we'll be moving on to basketball and soccer after next week.

I also believe this is a product of not playing/practice on a grass field. The game is so much different and we weren't prepared for it.

Yes. :thud:
No way to finesse it.
NHS wasn't very good. Humiliated by Memorial. Beaten by Beaumont Central (who was humiliated by PNG).

You make a good point about the grass field.

They just didn't do what it took to win. Grass field is a factor, but not an excuse. Coaches should make a point to call out the stupid penalties committed by players.

Good game by both teams. The better team on paper did not win tonight. Congrats to the winner.

On to the playoffs. This loss should be a good eye opener and motivator.

Oh, I'm not blaming the field. I'm blaming like of preparation for the conditions and environment. That's an "us" problem.

Looks like we will be getting Crosby in the 1st round of the playoffs. This is gonna be a shootout of gigantic proportions.

Didn't take it that way. But you know the haters will.

Offensive records are great, but means nothing if you can’t play defense or tackle my grandmother.

Some of the worst clock management and don’t even want to talk about special teams.

We need a new philosophy on defense.

Technique, basic tackling will go a long way if that's lacking.

Indian defensive players played hard and actually seemed to adjust in early part of second half.

Stupid penalties at inopportune moments of the game were giant momentum shifts.

Well said IndianFan. Season is not over yet. While disappointing, this was a "rivalry" game that can go either way every year. In fact, it was voted the best rivalry in all of Texas HS Football. Big wake up call for the defense and I think it will benefit them going forward. Go Indians and take care of business in the post season. Scalp'em!!!
