They just didn't do what it took to win. Grass field is a factor, but not an excuse. Coaches should make a point to call out the stupid penalties committed by players.

Good game by both teams. The better team on paper did not win tonight. Congrats to the winner.

On to the playoffs. This loss should be a good eye opener and motivator.

Well said IndianFan. Season is not over yet. While disappointing, this was a "rivalry" game that can go either way every year. In fact, it was voted the best rivalry in all of Texas HS Football. Big wake up call for the defense and I think it will benefit them going forward. Go Indians and take care of business in the post season. Scalp'em!!!
Better see the benefit by next week.

Technique, basic tackling will go a long way if that's lacking.

Indian defensive players played hard and actually seemed to adjust in early part of second half.

Stupid penalties at inopportune moments of the game were giant momentum shifts.

Offensive records are great, but means nothing if you can’t play defense or tackle my grandmother.

Some of the worst clock management and don’t even want to talk about special teams.

We need a new philosophy on defense.
I agree wholeheartedly with both posts. We can never hope to be competitive beyond a few rounds of the playoffs unless we devote much more attention to defense, special teams, and game fundamentals like clock management. With the offenses we have had during the BF years, we would have been virtually unbeatable if those areas had been better addressed. To take the next step, these are the areas that must be the focus of attention even in the context of having a true superstar like RJ.

Lol. looks like we didnt need your help to get in the playoffs after all. It didn't matter about Central either.

I don’t think anyone (other than Ned fans) thought we would win

They shoved it down our throats. In your face going for 2. RJ on the return??? BF is doing him an injustice by over using him. 40 touches a game x 12/13 games 500 or so touches. Break a leg screwed

BTW best defensive coordinator in Texas??? Whom ever he is. I offer how bout Spell?
