I am unsure of their record. A co-worker says they are undefeated. Anyone have any insight to this? They have a good QB and RB I believe he is named Ross. Supposed to have a big o line. And what few cores I saw they where holding teams to very low points totals. I hope someone out there has some insight on them.

We would love to do just that. Ideally, we would love to follow and publish all teams and scores for boys and girls sports, grades 7-12. Our hiccup is the owner of the website/message board and the four or five moderators all live out of town. It's hard to get information and scores for the sub-varsity teams. I am in Houston and I do my best to contact the few locals that I still know in Port Neches, Groves, and Port Arthur. Sometimes I get good info and scores, other times my sources are not too reliable. Any locals that follow the underclassmen or the Lady Indian sports, please post what you can or send me a DM and I will post. I still bleed purple and I get enjoyment following PN-G's students and their successes. I'd like more content for the ladies--volleyball, basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, track-and-field, and softball. Good discussion, Rez. Thanks for contributing. The more alums, fans, parents, and contributors we have posting, the bettter. GO INDIANS!

Anyone know how the JV, Soph, Frosh, and junior high teams are doing? They are Friday night stars of the future.

Been trying for decades to find a consistent source. Ideally local fans would share here. Not even the district, NDN press or pngprimetime publishes all scores. Unless they happen to make an X or Facebook post, and you find it, we are in the dark.

Well I got there at 6 and it was already in the 3rd quarter s they started at 5. It was 7-0 PNG. First play I saw was and INT by PNG and the announcer said it was that players 2nd INT. The next series we drove down and scored. Then we got another INT. We punted on our next drive then on a reverse attempt our defender hit the two in the backfield as one receiver was handing it to the other causing fumble. We picked it up and returned it to the 30 something of WF. Eventually we used the QB to run it in for the final TD, The entire time I was there WF did not get a first down. On the flip side I was surprised that the size of our lines was much smaller than I expected. Not sure if the bigger guys are on varsity as backups or if we are just smaller with that group. Only saw a couple of passes from PNG but the Salas kid can hum the football. He threw one ball that was on a rope about 30 yards and hit the receiver right in the numbers. The other thing about him is he is also a running QB. When we would get 3rd and a few he would take a designed run and he is a very good runner. I think he ran for at least two of the TDs. The other thing is the team is identical to the varsity on both sides of the ball. Now for the one thing that stood out most about this team is the defense was lights out at all three levels. They have a smaller faster defense that literally smothered WF. The secondary is legit. They flew all over the field with at least 3 INTs last night maybe more that I saw from the 3rd and the 4th quarter. The JV defense is giving up 6.6PPG.

The best players on the JV defense are getting reps and experience. When the playoffs start they’ll move up to varsity and those good defensive backs may very well see the field against any pass heavy teams.
