Players to watch: DE Teegan Woitena (6-3, 190, 4.6), RB Zane Brewer (5-10, 175, 4.5), S Aiden Perez (5-10, 170, 4.7), DL Carter Roberts (5-9, 210), OL Gavin Vernon (6-0, 280), QB/LB Blayne Ryder (6-0, 185, 4.8). Top juniors: FS Carson Sunday (5-11, 180, 4.7), LB Austin Stroud (5-11, 180, 4.7). Top sophomore: OL Max Contreras (6-1, 265).
Other prospects: LB Kameron Chenoweth, RB Brayden Bryant, QB Wyatt Harrison, WR Slade Guida.
2026 notes: After missing out on the playoffs a year ago in a three-way tie, Ryder believes his young but talented squad is ready for a playoff return. DE Woitena (55 tackles, 10 TFL, 7 sacks) is a long and athletic edge rusher fresh off an all-district sophomore season. FS Sunday (80 tackles, 2 INTs), S Perez (60 tackles, 3 INTs) and DL Roberts are also back to lead that experienced defense. RB Brewer was the district’s utility player of the year in 2025, but look for him to spend the majority of his time this season on the offensive side of the ball where he could be the featured back. Sophomore QB/LB Ryder will likely compete for the QB job but is likely to see plenty of time on defense if not leading the offense.
