Really important game for PNG, turning things around like they did. Texas City game will be their most important game of the season so far, and I now feel like they will be ready for it.

I think Gohlke made a strong case for more snaps at QB. I don’t envy the coaching staff in choosing between him and Ashworth, but it is a nice problem to have.

True, but still probably our toughest district opponent with the exception of Nederland.

On all the long outside runs, the corners were playing on the line right outside the DE. Not sure what the thinking was there. #9 for Santa Fe is fast and a good player. Film will fix that. Jackson catching the ball again is a very good thing. New starter at right tackle. #23 looked off tonight and didn't start. I would like to see more of Ashworth at QB with Gohlke and Henry in the backfield. With the WRs we have, any time the OL can give could lead to a very explosive offense and get the running game going. Santa Fe sold out last night to stopping the run and was run blitzing every play. QB draws, outside tosses, and swing passes will negate that. We can't keep running the same pulling guard inside traps into run blitzes when our o line is not getting to the hole before the running back. Last week against Brenham they ran a 4 man front and the DT had a free run into the backfield when the guard vacated to pull. This is fine if Henry has a hole to hit, but not when the guard hasn't even got there yet. We need more bodies on the DL. Those guys can't play all game taking on blocks and continue to get penetration. Fatigue is going to set in especially against a bigger oline.

Good thing is the hardest part of the schedule is behind us until the playoffs. We will have games to build depth. Hopefully all the sky is falling posters survive the rest of the season.

You are correct, Except we played PAM, AMC, and Brenham to be more than ready for Texas City.
TC has 4 wins. Their four wins are against Houston Yates, Houston Sterling ( not Baytown Sterling), Fort Bend Kempner, They lost to Friendswood. Also Fort Bend Kempner is not a very good team. This has nothing t do with our game but is some context into what we are headed into.
