PNG-ex Tate Sandell kicks game winning FG

It’s the high price of entering “corporate football” which UT was considered a top program at one time and won a “fluke” in 2005-6
But when this corporate system really started they were an outsider
The Big 10 and SEC were the first (the top teams - then they had to have the South Carolinas Vanderbilts MSU
then back then Indiana Purdue Northwestern etc to beat up on they were in the club but not really) they were the team the Globetrotters would beat up on (fair games but never allowed to take the top recruits in order to compete with Alabama Georgia and at one time UF LSU (others snuck in Auburn Tennessee etc)

But entering the next stage there will only be around 32 teams who truly compete
And UT had to start the NAME
They stole a Manning from Ole Miss and Tennessee in order to take one of the 32-40 corporate college football spots
They’re starting him for the “future” and they’ll be granted a NC later
Mind you
If manning was any good they would have let them compete for it this year
But they’re doing it for the clout and sacrificing this year for the name.

Right now it’s the Big 10 Vs The SEC

(Sound familiar) you could say North Vs south or Blue vs Grey)
I know it sounds tin foil hat but I think I’m right

The Big 12 and the ACC will compete for the scraps and one playoff spot each if they’re lucky
BYU vs Louisville (conference champs)
The PAC is the new Mountain West for now a non factor
IMO they will continue to consolidate conferences to 2 16-20 conference members and we ll fight the new civil war every year (similar to the 32 team NFL

The other colleges will play bowls vs each other but the Baylors UH Vandy TCU NW Purdue they’ll be relegated to the MAC or another initial conference
It’ll be similar to FBS vs FCS

It’s all about who can buy the best players now. Then it’s about having a talented coaching staff that can teach, motivate 18-22+ year olds and game plan.

In my opinion UT has a tendency for signing too many players that lack characteristics that make up great players and teams. Too much individualism.
