End of first half interview with Coach Faircloth...defense is playing well, but we need to stop Central's run game when they spread the field...on offense, Coach Faircloth sees opportunities to run the football in the second half..."offensive line is doing a good job" ... "we need to continue running the football."

Go Indians. Peace.

This is one game where we don't have to listen to the Nederland game scores... Only because this is their bye week. ;D

Jags TD on a short QB keeper.

Indian offensive line needs to step it up and provide protection and open some holes. Less than stellar showing so far.

The Indians hear you, IndianFan...PN-G responds to Central's TD with a TD of their own. A nice mix of runs, throws, and some help from Central penalties. QB keeper for 6! PAT is good.

Final

A nice homecoming victory...with a record of 7-1 overall and 5-1 in District 22-5A, I think PN-G has secured a playoff spot (not certain).

Go Indians. Peace.

Should be a secured playoff spot with that win.

Good win but sure would like to see the defense do a better job of preventing those 2nd half TDs!

The Indian defense held Central to 235 yards. Almost 110 yards less than Central's game average.

And held Central to 92 yards rushing compared to their 207 ypg average.

Way to go defense.

I'm surprised we only threw it 7 times. I presume we dropped back more times than that, but the reads weren't open so RJ played it safe and took off with it.

And yes, those are big time numbers from the defense!

+1 ... all season long the defense has played well.

I did not see the game tonight, and although the PN-G radio team did not say it, I got the feeling the Indians left some positive plays and points on the field. Seems the Indians overlooked an early FG opportunity and burned through the first half timeouts due to indecision or changing out personnel. Not being critical ... just my thoughts from listening to the game. Yes, I'll take a win ... ugly win, pretty win, blow out, or 1-point win ... a win is a win and they are hard to come by in SE TX HS football. I'll take anything to lock down a playoff spot.

Go Indians. Peace.

Glad we won, took a few things from the game:

1.) Defense is solid, until the offense stalls and they are on the field for a long time. The 3rd qrt was a prime example, the offense got stopped for the entire 3rd qrt and the defense gave up some points and yards. With a better coached team (CENTRAL) two of those drives would have been points.

2.) Roschcon runs hard but takes to many hits, it seems like we run him at least every other play. That's going to start taking a toll on him.
