PNG vs. PA Memorial Scrimmage

I just hope Memorials offense really is that good and we are really not that bad on defense. The only time we held them was when they shot themselves in the foot. Other than that, they were doing what they wanted at will. However basic you guys say the defense was is fine, but they were not hitting either, and I'm sure they werent told to arm tackle. That performance has me worried about the season.

Oh they will make lots of adjustments this week. My son is on JV and they got a ear full and they are going to be working extremely hard this coming week. I agree to much arm tackling. About the only excuse I can come up with is nerves. ? The D did look flat at times. Confidence maybe ? I truly beleive we will see a totally different team come next Saturday ! The D coach will have them hitting people and make them remember it as well. This was a good scrimmage to me for the NDN's. I hate to say it but maybe they had some big heads from last season. Maybe this scrimmage brought them back to reality. Just a thought. The Freshmen and JV teams looked pretty good. The JV QB got hurt in the scrimmage unfortunately. I think overall we will be just fine. Just needed some contact with another team and a good gut check.

Oh no the sky is falling, the sky is falling!!!!

Come on folks, our first team D gave up one TD to a good 5A team. The second TD was scored on our twos and they had the kid for a loss, but arm takling allowed him to get free and make a great play (reminded me of Jacksonville playoff game in 97). The first D looked rusty, but we were also only rushing 3. How often do you think DJ will spend the entire game dropping back in coverage??? You dont show it all.

Our running game looked very good. I was impressed with our line and thought Chase ran the ball hard and made some good cuts. Shortest run was 3 yards. I think behind this line and with his shiftyness, Chase will have some long runs this year.

The passing game looked pretty good. Allways takes time to get the timing down. Had a couple of long passes with open WR and just overthrew them. That will improve. Very impressed with our new stable of wideouts.

I thought both teams hurt themselves with mistakes, but only one turnover combined...Not bad.

Do you GP realize that this is a PNG site? Ya'll act all hurt that PNG FANS would actually get on a PNG BOARD and predict a PNG win...Its not like we are getting on your site making predictions of a PNG win. I would hope that on your site GP fans are predicting a GP win.Geeez!
