Summer Creek's perspective of the game -

Second half resurgence leads Summer Creek past Port Neches-Groves

Their coach made several positive references to the Indians - "fast, physical, good size and speed".

His assessment is consistent with what I've seen in the online broadcast/replays of the WOS and Summer Creek games (I live in Florida, so unfortunately I can't attend the games). This is the best I've seen the defense perform in several years. The pursuit and gang tackling are much improved this year. And I've always felt that if you give Coach Faircloth a decent defense, we can be very successful. I also like what I've seen from Ky Walker. He does a good job of extending plays and seems very adept at finding the open receivers. Nice to have a running back with breakaway speed too!
