PNG vs Vidor

Whats everyones take ? I think the PNG, Nederland thread is done. I pick NDN's by 14. Our D has shown improvement. I know from years past that we will put 6 in the box against Vidor. Should be a good game. Vidor always seems to be pumped up when they play PNG.

I'm guessing there will be more than 6 in the box since all 11 of Vidor's players are in the box. I would assume the Indians might have 9 or 10 in the box!

This game gives us a bit better matchup than the previous 3 weeks. Vidor is a little down on size this year. You usually get great execution from Vidor providing we also have good execution Id say this is our game to lose.

No MQ for Vidor this year...he was an outstanding player and winner for VHS...kids like MQ do not come along all too often. Historically, VHS has always played PN-G tough. Load up and put 8 or 9 in the box and play sound assignment football. Play the run and tackle well like the Indians did vs. nederland. Tackling has gotten better and better as the season has gone along. Keep it up. Wrap up and get them on the ground with 10 or 11 Indians going after the football. On offense, do what PN-G does best. Spread out, throw the ball down the field. When Vidor drops more into coverage, give the ball to Halfin. VHS does not have two 300lbs DTs. Our run game should be back with the ability to hit a long run for a TD. Play hard, have fun, and go get another W. If we play with the kind of effort and intensity we played with vs. nederland, PN-G will win out, get into the playoffs, and make some noise. If we sleep walk like we did vs. LC-M, well, let's hope that never happens again.

Go Indians. Peace.

we win this game if we stop their running game (gotta make the tackles), we need to open it up in the air (our strongest play), we win this game IMO by 14 or more. We win this game I believe we in the playoff due to ozen is playing Nederland this week and we play ozen the following week, we control I playoff chances!

Vidor will give many different looks with the triple option. We must be able to tackle in the open field, one v. one.

I'm happy to say that I'm not worried about the defense this year. They are playing "LIGHTS OUT"!
Plus,Vidor doesn't have the QB AND 3 outstanding backs to run those weird, misdirection plays, like last yr. They were really hard to keep up with last yr.

I say PNG by 21

I agree! They did a incredible job last week, and I'm sure they're ready to take out their frustrations! And it doesn't hurt that Vidor is also black n gold...lol! I'm just sad I'm gonna miss it!
