Give the OL and OL coach credit for the excellent pass protection on those long pass plays.Bailey was on target tonight. He had total command of the offense and he made beautiful throws all night long. He was the victim of WR drops several times. On the long bombs, two of them were dropped. Bailey could not have walked downfield and personally handed the ball to the WRs vs. the perfect bombs he threw tonight. He was razor sharp. WR #2 has some skills. #8 had some great catches too. #10 is going to get better. He has the skills, just needs to relax and catch the ball. Proud of those kids. They made some big plays. GO INDIANS!!!
It’s still real early with regard to the development of the WRs, and several of them are showing great promise. If that part of our game improves, and Bailey and our pass protection continues on their present path, this year’s offense could easily match or exceed any in the Joseph era.Bailey was on target tonight. Matt Stepp looked like a deer in the headlights in his post game critique of PNG win.Matt Stepp of Dave Campbell Texas Football will be at this game of the week in person to do game broadcast videos. Matt has personally anointed La Porte to win the 5AD1 state championship this year. He has a vested interest in the outcome of this game. PNG fans want to hear him say it was a one score game win and we know what that means when playing PNG.
I can’t wait for #10 to breakout as a young new receiver. As a basketball player he may be used to shooting three pointers and not grinding it out with the elbows under the backboard. Wants he learns to use that 6ft 2 inch frame to shield off the defender from the ball he will become someone special. He pancaked a defender on a successful screen play in the previous game so knows how to be physical. It’s still real early with regard to the development of the WRs, and several of them are showing great promise. it’s a very nice stadium. It will be filled to capacity when LP plays their nemesis Angleton on Friday October 31 at 7PM at LP stadium. Angleton beat them twice last year. Looking forward to watching the replay of that game. It's a cool stadium that they can be proud of. Most games there probably won't exceed the capacity. Most visiting schools will fall far short of selling 4,250 tickets.
Looking forward to a well played game in a new stadium.
Thanks for the insightful comments. Our OC is all grown up now. It will be joy to watch him continue to grow more comfortable in the role. It’s still real early with regard to the development of the WRs, and several of them are showing great promise. LP #9 Ruffin RB/MLB two way stater was being consistently pancaked as a MLB by #52 Left Tackle Wolford. It got in to his head mentally and had to take a physical toll as the game went on as a RB while trying to lift 300 lbs of dead weight off you as the game progressed. The defense needs to be ready to deal with hard running stiff-arming punch-in-the-face RBs this week. I was sitting at about the 10 or so yard line last season, about 5 or 10 rows up, and saw a punch to the head of one of our D linemen on one of their TD runs. That, and if we can stop the KO runbacks, then I think we'll be ok.
Would like to see this short term rivalry continue in the future. Iron sharpens Iron. Agree the LP personnel were very friendly and helpful to PNG fans. It's a cool stadium that they can be proud of. DCTF and especially Stepp has never given PNG the respect they deserve.Matt St

Methinks there will be quite a few sports analysts across the state having that reaction to PN-G this year.Matt St

Just being a bit of a realist; with over a 1000 teams in Texas it would be difficult to show all the love and respect deserved for each.Based on past coverage, or lack of, he seems to not like PN-G. Of course he could prove that wrong by showing differently. I’m certainly willing to forgive and forget if he wants to cover PN-G in a way that they deserve. In general I perceive a big preference for DF-W and North Texas teams by some at DCTF. I’ve been buying DCTF magazines for 40+ years. Long before ‘ Tep and Step’ came on the scene. But only with the rise of tv and internet based media has that preference become obvious.
Greg Tepper does show obvious respect PN-G and fan support. As would be expected.
I subscribe and watch each Friday Night wrap up broadcast. La Porte vs PNG was a DCTF spot light game of the week in Texas. Ms Pickle and Greg Tepper hosts. Would expect this game to be one of the lead in highlights with game videos. Nothing?Just being a bit of a realist; with over a 1000 teams in Texas it would be difficult to show all the love and respect deserved for each.
I think it's time they add a new staff member who can lighten the load and challenge the staff. Maybe even more than one.
Indeed, even our local news coverage is poor.I subscribe and watch each Friday Night wrap up broadcast. La Porte vs PNG was a DCTF spot light game of the week in Texas. Ms Pickle and Greg Tepper hosts. Would expect this game to be one of the lead in highlights with game videos. Nothing?
Had a highlight segment on Golden Triangle team Friday night scores with no mention of PNG?
They have very low active viewerships for their show. I think they are trying to expand viewership across the state and across divisions. However , Always cover DFW SOC, Duncanville, and DeSoto on each broadcast.
Not asking for much. just respect that is due.

The way to solve this is not to subscribe and let them go under.I subscribe and watch each Friday Night wrap up broadcast. La Porte vs PNG was a DCTF spot light game of the week in Texas.
