Recruiting

In 2018 Allen was investigated by the UIL for having 77 athletic transfers with 74 football players.. now with the being so big maybe this is normal i don't know. But they were investigated. That's more than most any 5a team has on the sidellines many by near double

This is exactly Coach Todd's counter-argument when people complain about transfers at SOC. The suburban DFW schools get transfers all the time and no one says a word. WG to Argyle. Kids transfer to Aledo all the time. No one complains. SOC reloads and Coach Todd gets blamed for recruiting. It's not a problem in SETX, but it happens in the Houston area and it is a huge problem in the DFW metroplex.

Parents will argue they have the say-so and right to move their kids to any school of choice. Families with money just sell a house in town "X" and move to town "Y".

Doesnt make what he is doing any better, but i understand what you are saying he is just doing it on a larger scale.

Two or more wrongs don’t make a right. Beyond transfers, there is the competitive advantage that Dallas ISD allows and pursues with intradistrict school selection. That alone should be a disqualifier. But until the state and UIL value a level playing field, and actually make the notion of classifications meaningful, this farce will continue. In the meantime hundreds of one school towns that follow the rules will be at a disadvantage playing within the defined classification that they were assigned to.

Plus, he (Todd) wants to play the victim like everyone is picking on him. Everyone ive ever talked to is against recruiting across the state at any level in highschool. He just happened to play PNG, and we will not be quiet on the blatant recruiting that SOC does.

IMO it’s even wrong to let North Shore be open with Galena Park

Could there be a more unbalanced difference between the Mustangs and the Yellow Jackets
One of the best teams in the state and one of the worst ones within 5 miles of each other same ISD

And that’s just two schools with a relatively small population. (Compared with other school districts in the 6A realm and Dallas etc)
