Hopefully some day we will be a suburb of Houston!!!!!I think LBJ has made my point for me about the suburban schools. Austin ISD hasn't fielded a state championship contender since 1973. LBJ falls to the rural-dominated 4ADI class for one alignment cycle, and suddenly they're marching to the state championship.

Not sure I follow. Austin LBJ is urban. Did drop from5A to 4A.I think LBJ has made my point for me about the suburban schools. Austin ISD hasn't fielded a state championship contender since 1973. Its also an early college HS, which means it may accept students from across the district.LBJ doesn't service the urban core of Austin proper; that's mostly covered by the old Austin High and, to a lesser extent, by Anderson. LBJ and the former Reagan High, now Northeastern, cover several neighborhoods in the northeast portion of the city, bordering Pflugerville and stretching out toward Manor. The area looks much more suburban than urban, though it's not as affluent as Cedar Park or Round Rock.
