The article was fast to point out the expenses but failed to point out the income. I almost want to respond and say, hey dumb a** editor. Revenue (plus's) - Expenses (minus)= the more realistic figure.

Example: Let's see.......the new stadium seats 13000 people. Let's say just on the home side PNGISD sold 3000 reserved season tickets @ $45.00= $135,000.00 revenue before the season even starts. I think that will already pay for the extra expenses. And that is just on season ticket sales. That does not count general admission per game and visitors paid admission. Throw in the revenue the concession sales and program sales brings into the athletic department or other student organizations each game.

Oh, Lord, this scares me (agreeing with Justafan again)! That article was total trash-talking by a bunch of uneducated, illiterates that hail from Nederland or Lumberton, I'm sure. (now before people get upset, I did not say that all people from Big Ned or Big L are illiterate--just some of them). This is what I posted on their little comment section. PNG short-changing academics??? How so if we are one of the top performers in the entire region? By the way, in 2004, according to the UIL Texas Lonestar best all around school (including UIL academics and UIL sports) PNG was ranked 5th in the entire state in best all around school. Please, someone else make this claim about their school.

"This is to all of you saying that PNG has short-changed their academic department. In the district UIL competition, PNG has won 8 consecutive district championships. SO, before you go around saying that the educational level at PNG is in the tank, maybe you should look at your own schools. PNG is top notch when it comes to academics.

For FF just taking a sampling from science was pretty unfair. Why don't you post something from 9th or 11th grade math? OH, maybe because PNG finished number 1 in 9th grade and in the top 3 in 1tth grade math. But why would someone want to show the real stats of how schools in the area perform? Maybe because you want to push your propoganda message."
