University of Texas Football

Anybody else sick of UT football?
With the most valuable college football program in America, valued at approximately $2.2 billion, top 3 annual revenue, more resources than practically any program, and one of the best ‘semi-pro’ rosters you’ll find, those jokers are 0-2 the past two weeks.

It may be time to scrap the head coach and shift the direction of that program. Because it’s not working out very well as it is. Time to walk the talk Texas.

Watching UH tonight led by QB Conner Weigman, I am switching my allegiance to the UH Cougars. PN-G graduate Aaron Wolford is on the team.

UT should have recruited QB Conner Weigman instead of Arch Manning. Weigman is a much more talented player. Makes quick decisions, excellent running the ball and a more accurate passer with a quick release and better touch on the ball.

Texas will bounce back. They get everyone’s best shot. So much pressure in Austin to be perfect. Sark will get it turned around. Lots of talent on the field and in the pipeline ala Jackson Christian.

Manning is definitely a major part of the problem with UT. He actually reminds me a lot of Prescott, great at times but way too inconsistent and terrible when under any pressure. Weigman is head and shoulders above Manning right now and looks more like the type of player Manning was expected to be. Nevertheless, I do not think Manning is the most important weakness of the horns. That would have to be the offensive and defensive lines imo and particularly the offensive line. The OL cannot protect Manning at all against halfway decent teams, nor can they run block. With an inconsistent or ineffective running game against teams with a decent defense and Manning under constant pressure and unable to respond effectively to it, the results are predictable. They have enough talent to overcome their deficiencies against weaker teams but you get pot luck against teams thar are middle of the road or better. These problems are further exacerbated by some questionable play calls and other decisions by Sark at times, but that is not a major factor in the horn’s inconsistency imo.

Whatever the root problems are, what comes out of the oven is not the sum of the expensive ingredients and top quality equipment used to bake it. Maybe the cooks and bakers need to be assessed or replaced. Something is very wrong on the 40 acres.
