I think PNG will end up with the #2 seed in the district because I think Nederland will beat Huntsville this week because their qb got injured in that MLC game so I don't think he will be 100 percent come Friday.

That’s all they need to clinch a share of the title, and that makes me more confident that they will beat Huntsville given the Huntsville QB situation. Quite a turnaround for them if they do that. However, they could also come out a bit flat after their emotional win in MCM. In any case, we need to run the table so we will at least have a shot at a co-championship.

If that does happen, yes PNG wins District at 6-1. It also would result in a 3 way tie for 2nd at 5-2. That would be even more fun for this district.

I don't see Nederland losing out at all imo. They will probably beat Huntsville imo.
They also have to play Montgomery.
We will get a good look at them this Friday.
I was just saying the same thing and would love to see it played at NRG. With how hard those tickets can be to get for the regular district game, I can only imagine how packed NRG would be. It would be more of a crowd than our game against Huntsville there last year, that's for sure.Anything could happen so this is a little premature, but in the event us or Nederland gets the 2 seed and we both make it to the 2nd round…I’d LOVE to have Mid County DOUBLE HEADER at NRG…now THAT would be “LEGENDARY”!

district foes 1 and 4 can meet on one side of regional bracket
Then 2-3 can meet on the other side

That happened in the Astrodome in 1999. I think Nederland was playng Jacksonville and PN-G played Waller in the second game. Although that would be WILD…I wasn’t referring to a PNG vs Nederland playoff rematch. More like a double header at NRG in a PNG vs SOC and Nederland vs ? or vice versa type scenario…just cause both Mid County fan bases will show up to support each other and give SOCs Coach PTSD….lol!

You are correct. Nederland lost to Marshall 63-24 in the 2018 Area round at NRG. PN-G beat Lindale 50-28 in the second game. They may have played a doubleheader in 2017 as well.
