This is going to be a Thursday night scrimmage. Look for a step up in competition because the Bruins are loaded with talent this year. They have a great QB and their whole receiving core os awesome. Look for our Indians to get to identify areas of work for Coach Faircloth and his staff to hammer out before we host Silsbee who look very fast against Vidor.

As soon as the roster is finalized and available, I’ll publish it on the football web site. That’s usually not available until the first week of the season.

Im watching it on Facebook.

Guys i just want to see the defense and skill positions hold their own. I like this group of kids, their more scrappy than last year's bunch. I just want to see them hold their own. They won't stop WB with all they have, but if we can force some punts I'll be a happy man. On O I want to see the rb play with the same intensity as last week and the Wrs to run good routes and hold on to the ball. Just do your job to the best of your ability. Ill take a good effort, especially on D with what happened last year. Lets go guys!

From the scraps and bits of video I’ve found on the web, I would say the defense looks to be ahead of the offense at this early stage. (Can’t believe I’m saying that...)

20-6 WB was the final 13-6 with the starters. The Indian defense gave up to long passes other than that they were pretty dang good. The offense was stifled by the WB defense which was very good.
Its really hard when your QB is a runner and he cannot even extend the pocket without a whistle. Deslatte came in for a few plays and he looked great. Our defense held on pretty darn well against a very good 6 a program with a really good offense. I llok forward to seeing them next week
