To put Harmon's season in perspective, and emphasize what a tremendous year he's having, his numbers to this point compare well with any running back in modern (post 1960) times. The following list is not complete but provides a good comparison. Keep in mind that Bergeron only played 10 games each of his seasons.
Harmon has 1,467 yards in 9 games this season. He is well on his way to finishing in the top 2 in yards gained in a season. And topping all runners other than Gordon LeBoeuf. But even that total is not out of reach.
Additional note: Harmon's per game average so far is 163.0. Not far behind Gordon LeBoeuf's 1955 per game average of 165.4 yards per game.
Fellow fans, you ARE witnessing a historic rushing effort by Harmon. Of course it's also a team accomplishment that belongs to the entire offense. A good offensive line and passing game enable the big runs.
