Some Central fans got the Jags coming in at #1..lol
they got their whole D coming back with a starting QB with experience and a nice RB, their issue IMO is they will get outcoached by the Mid-County schools and Memorial is due for another blowout of the little kittens. :woot:

It was just posted that Central will NOT play WB this season. The Beaumont Bowl is out. WB will still play Ozen. IMO WB should scratch Ozen and put Central at week 2. That rivalry has been going on longer.

T. Mayfield graduated? I thought he had another year. And what about that RB that they threw on us at MCM? What year is he in?

Mayfield is back, Perkins is back and they have other defensive starters back. They had a nice backup rb last yr and they have a move-in from New Orleans/Mississippi at RB I hear.

Glad we have new posters adding to the message board. Please visit and post often.

What will be the strengths and weaknesses of PAM in 22-5A? Who will play QB? Who will replace the RB that signed with Baylor? Size on the OL and DL? Depth?

Same questions for Central. Who will replace #12? Hearing that the Jags will have returning experience on defense and at the QB spot is a scary thought for 22-5A. The Jags usually have size in the trenches, so an experienced QB who can move the chains and create big plays is dangerous for 22-5A.

What will Nederland have coming back?

Vidor, Lumberton, and Ozen?

Post away...I'll read and respond. Give me your best Dave Campbell's preview of 22-5A. Keep on coming back and post!!!

Go Indians. Peace.

as far as the trenches I think we have some young guys that will step up, I looked at the roster last season and we had 5 sophs that were OL and a couple of juniors returning, on the DL that worries me along with the LBs, the secondary will be straight, we have the best DB in the state IMO in Kary Vincent. We return a bunch of WRs who started last season, for RB I kept hearing about this stud on the lower level but I have no idea who he is, I personally didnt keep up with the lower levels last yr like I used to. Now for QB: my personal opinion we should have Jones back there since he's a true dual-threat QB, no disrespect to the Harrison kid but id like to see him at WR, gives us two legit 6'3-6'4 targets. Jones is the best athlete on the team IMO. In his first start versus that monster from North Shore he wasn't fazed, held his own. Has a big arm and can run. Offense wont be an issue for Memorial, if they can shore up the defense lookout.

Jags have a player (Foster) that ended up starting in district alongside Whaley and he's legit. He was a sophmore and comes in as a junior. Kid runs hard and will have some experience. The QB returns (Boudreaux) and should be a lot more experienced after finally getting the nod in district after out shaky qb controversy last year. We have some excellent playmakers from a scary good JV team that'll do good things on Friday nights. But our defense is what we'll lean on. Lots of experience (9 starters return) including last year's defensive MVP Boseman. The question mark will be if the o-line will be ready. We lost like 4 o-lineman, so we'll keep an eye on that. All and all, this should be a fun year for Central football....

BTW, I'm not a new poster. I think I've been registered here for a long time. Lol

Also I wanna add: to the little small school folk who think their WR corps will be the best in SETX you better pay attention to PA Memorial and PNG WR corps. I hear everything and all the talk. :rocks:
