It was just posted that Central will NOT play WB this season. The Beaumont Bowl is out. WB will still play Ozen. IMO WB should scratch Ozen and put Central at week 2. That rivalry has been going on longer.

What will be the strengths and weaknesses of PAM in 22-5A? Who will play QB? Who will replace the RB that signed with Baylor? Size on the OL and DL? Depth?

Same questions for Central. Who will replace #12? Hearing that the Jags will have returning experience on defense and at the QB spot is a scary thought for 22-5A. The Jags usually have size in the trenches, so an experienced QB who can move the chains and create big plays is dangerous for 22-5A.

What will Nederland have coming back?

Vidor, Lumberton, and Ozen?

Ned has 7 coming back on defense and 6 on O I believe.. Mayfield, Fisher , Leliux, Ngyuen will all be back . Cupboard isn't dry over here..

Also, the PNG schedule is very backloaded with the top teams in the district. I think this is a blessing in disguise as it will give our team to gel with our young QB (whomever wins the spot), and it will get us battle ready heading into the playoffs. Is it August yet?

I wonder if Bost or Johnson can play db? Maybe keanell too. Lejune looks like a real tuff kid and gives 110% from what I saw in the few games I went to last year. Hope they go deep into the playoffs

One of the things that Ned had going for them was, once they got past the 1st -3 District games, the rest of the year was a cakewalk (except of course for Goose Creek :clap.

We had an easy schedule early on, then, we had the meat of the schedule last.

Not sure which is better.

if Jones was at Png he would be declared the starter right after the last playoff game yall played, no need for a qb competition.

And yes if he starts for Memorial id put them the frontrunner to win district and possibly get out the 2nd round of the playoffs. (Mind you I only see us winning 1 playoff game this year)

Central is one of the fewer teams in the district that returns a starting QB next year. That with 9 or 10 returning starters on defense, Central should be in the district conversation...
