Final: PN-G Indians 35, La Porte Bulldogs 21

That would be a great addition to the NDN press broadcast, at least in terms of basic stats (e.g., passing and rushing). The radio broadcast used to report some of those basic stats at the half and post game.
The radio broadcast usually has the stats at halftime and after the game.

A couple of afterthoughts. It’s always good to reflect back on events, especially after the intense focus on a challenge.

I look back on this game as a memorable experience that I’ll file away as one of the best ever. First, congrats to La Porte ISD as well as the entire town. You are doing things right in La Porte. Great facilities, great team spirit and great support. Your football team is good and you will be strong in the playoffs.

I am also immensely proud of the PN-G team performance and the impressive show of support by everyone that traveled from the Golden Triangle and Houston area to cheer on the Indians. Wow. The PN-G band and Indianettes are a great asset. Also extremely proud of the PN-G coaches who prepared the team so well. You are the best.

Congrats to the team and coaches for going into a hyped game against an excellent division 1 team in their new stadium and leaving no doubt. Your will prevailed.

All of us that support the PN-G Indians have many reasons to be proud and grateful.

From a personal perspective , I attended the first game that we played La Porte in the 1977 playoffs with my dad. 48 years later we were able to watch this recent win together. Also got to see my long distance friend PNG Proud.

Each day is a gift. Each experience we can have together is a memory to be cherished forever. Thank you La Porte for setting the stage for a great experience. And thank you Port Neches-Groves for your continued reach for excellence.

It’s good to be part of the PN-G Indian Nation.

The LaPorte sports announcers single out the fans, band, and spirt dancers (indianettes and Indian Spirt). Announcers stated PNG was loud and spirted throughout the game. Lived up to the LP announcers Expectations of PNG. Announcers stated they were well treated last year during their visit to the REZ.
Difficult to hear their play by lay over the constant Cherokee and Tomahawk chants.

I figured they still did this, but don’t listen to the radio broadcast very often since the advent of the NDN Press broadcast. However, it would be a great addition if NDN Press also did this.

I am disappointed with DCTF today.
I was so looking forward to Monday morning fallout with a top game of the week vibe but nothing. Not a word.
It's like we are part of a news blackout conspiracy. Nothing local or other.
What's up with that?
I'm planning to listen to the LP coaches review at LP site.

Do you have a link to the LP coach’s review?

It does seem intentional. Like the result did not turn out like they assumed it would, so they are downplaying it to the extent that they seem to be ignoring that it even happened. Exactly the opposite of what you would expect for a game that was so hyped.

The local news hasn’t covered much in a few years. They used to have a couple articles a week sometimes for the big local schools. News isn’t profitable anymore, and most of what happens is via podcasts. So I wouldn’t say there’s any local exclusion of PnG.

True with regard to the local media. They don’t cover any local team very much nowadays.

I will reiterate what I said the other day. DCTF does not realize they are missing out on a massive opportunity by not talking and covering PNG more. The Indians have done nothing except get better each week and effectively dominate the opposition. After beating the #5 ranked team in 5AD1 resoundingly if I might add no mention of it. It’s disappointing because they can sure talk up SOC.

The reason you dont see highlights of PN-G is because they pull them from Texan live which we were not on this week.

There are more than 1500 schools in Texas. DCTF never mentions more than a handful in the podcasts. They aren’t singling out PNG for some kind of pact of silence. I frankly hope they don’t say anything good about us. I wish we weren’t even ranked. Are we in it to win football games or have people tell us how special we are?

True, but what about our own local?

The local papers are terrible and they cannot stand MC schools. Still no write up from last Friday night.
