BINGO!! That’s what happened to me after I went to my first Texas A&M game at Kyle Field years ago and got “baptized” by the Spirit of the 12th Man…didn’t go to school there, but the atmosphere, traditions, and pride got into my soul…there’s NOTHING like Aggieland, except PNG of course and haters call it a “cult” too…lol!

Couldn’t agree more - a big reason I chose A&M was because it felt like home. There’s just something to having a culture built around school spirit, it’s like nothing else. The Indians & Aggies know what it’s all about!

I grew up as a Longhorn fan but Austin and the current university culture is not my cup of tea. In that regard I would fit better in CS. And I hope PN and Groves never becomes like Austin. But to each his own.

I separate the Football from the Culture. And stay in Cedar Park or Georgetown when I go to the games. Austin is just.... weird. Most Universities these days are infected by the virus....

The point wasn’t comparing the band or the football teams it was comparing the cultures and the fanbases.A&M and PNG have two fan bases like NO where else on the planet both get called “cult like” for they're unwavering support,Both have schools filled with tradition and things some might see as “weird” they both can go by one quote “from the outside looking in you can’t understand it but from the inside looking out you cant explain it”!

On the same note, I hope whatever happens vs Nederland we manage the emotions and focus heading into Montgomery. They’re starting to look like a juggernaut.

Ok, you got me with the fight song, but that’s the only similarity. I think it’s hilarious when longhorn fans refer to Aggies as “aggy,” like it’s some sort of big insult. Notice I said longhorn fans, because the majority of their fans are T-shirt fans and not actual graduates of the university!

Ok, all fun and games with college rivalries - but back to our Indians. Do we foresee getting up on West Fork or early? Hopefully so, I know we have some starters that are a little banged up and need some rest.

Also - your screen name of “CS” - do we have a hidden affinity for College Station? I kid, I kid
