FINAL: PN-G 49, Dayton 7

Ok so I'm old and slow. When the roving camera zooms in on folks they move their arms up and down, with palms facing up, like they're juggling. What's the deal?

Chief Jeff Joseph is now 50-6 with three district championships, a state title, a state championship runner-up medal, and a quarter-finalist team all on his resume. That is one impressive resume! One more thing, he's 3-1 vs Nederland...that should probably be the first bullet point on that impressive resume.

GO INDIANS!!!

Looks like we get Nacadoches at home next week. They lost 50 - 0 to Texas High tonight. In fact, they have lost 3 in a row to the other teams in their district who are going to the playoffs... Marshall, Mt. Pleasant, and Texas High. They also lost to Lufkin earlier in the season to finish 6 - 4 and 4th place in 7-5A2.

So is their coach.
Dayton was without their starting QB #5 Jerry Prieto Jr the HC son who was injured in the previous game. #88 the Dayton QB for this game was a sophomore TE/punter during the season.

Dayton also without their No.1 RB #1 Denton Foster who was also injured in the previous game.
Give Dayton offense credit for hanging in there for the first Q controlling the game clock and tempo with backups in key skill positions.

injuries are part of the game. Dayton HC was frustrated before the game even started.

Dayton’s playcalling in the second quarter was perfect.

I remember that clown when he coached Crosby. If he got into the face of one of our players, the UIL needs to get involved.

It was a good game.
Holding their offense to just 7 with 2nd string. Offense did good as well.
I feel like this game was about improving our passing game.
Non-starters on defense and offense played well. They were in for the entire 4th quarter. Gave up the one TD but scored 2 when on offense. Great job. From what little I’ve seen Ashworth, he seems to be a great runner and has an accurate arm.
