FINAL: SOC 28, PNG 0

The 2026 team should set their sights on a state championship. Why not? They have enough coming back + an influx of good talent getting their turn next year. Based on the last game performance, they are not far at all from the mountain top. Coaches and players will ideally keep that fire burning all winter, spring and summer. Nutrition, cardio, weights, speed drills and HUDL. Dream and prepare to beat ANY team next year.

Ashworth played with the best and held his own, he will have tons of veteran weapons. Also, we will have a defense that has a lot of experience. It will be good next year. 12 players with district honors coming back, that is incredible!!

IMO, in order to get past the quarterfinal next season we'll need a good, improved, consistent O-line, and Jackson or equivalent(s) as D-backs, at least for certain receivers. And next time don't bother attempting to shake hands with the SOC captains pre-game. Just turn and head to our sideline.

My hope is that we wouldn’t see soc until state next year anyways

I'd love to see them not get to the state game, and I'd love to be the team that knocks them out of the playoffs. And I think we can do it.
Well if we move to region 3 it would be up to someone like argyle or WNG to take them out before they could make it to state. Since Melissa is moving up to 5AD1 next year

Yep, and DCTF Mock Realignment released today has us moving back to Region 3…LORD, let it be so! :p

Melissa should be 6A. Depends where the cutoff is, but I think they’re pretty close.

WNG is skipping 5AD1. They turned in 2400+ and will be moving up two classes to 6A. Which brings up another issue the UIL has that they can’t figure out. New school placement based on two grade levels vs an average x4.

PNG being place in R2 these past two years robbed us of the chance to matchup with Randle and LWC. Especially this year. Would have loved to see how our run D did against the best after stuffing some outstanding backs this year.

Yes. UIL really worked us over.

This was the year and the team with Bailey healthy. But the young soph filling in did well.
As good as oak cliff is, they were not unbeatable this year. I will argue that a 100% healthy Indian offense could have kept them off balance and that game would have been down to the wire.

Kid has already started 3 playoff games. PNG legend Adam Morse may have got 3 playoff starts in his career.

I think you are correct. SOC aasn't competitive while losing to Melissa last night.

Sorry. The internet carried the wrong score.
Apparently Texasfootball.com has some security vulnerabilities or maybe they trust scores reported from any maniac jokester out there.
Same misleading scores also happen on MaxPreps.com.
