2026 Schedule

They were a strong 4A team last year with some key returning players.
Hoping for PNG to meet FB Crawford in the 5AD2 Region 3 Regional finals. FB Crawford returning QB threw for over 3000 yds last year. PNG returning secondary of #3, #4, and #23 will be tested early. NT #97 with need some new help to pressure the FBC QB.

Shame that La Porte is in a nine team district and only had two preseason slots available. One is always reserved for their border rival Deer Park.

2026 Schedule

Thoughts on the O-Line?
Reeves is a bad, bad dude. I’ve noticed more fire and intensity from him than Christian or Wolford ever played with. Enforcer type mean. He had the other team whining about his physicality after the last game.

Not familiar with the other up and coming linemen. But I’ll say it again. Reeves is the alpha and the leader of that line. And I hope he works out with the other guys throughout offseason and teaches them the tough mentality necessary to be a great lineman. Mentally intimidate the other guys by mauling them every play. It’s going to take snap to whistle quickness, aggression and execution on every play to enable the great skill players that are back next year.

Be the next great offensive line and get you one of these….

2026 Schedule

7 on 7

I know 7 v. 7 is not real football, but it never hurts for the QB and WRs to throw the football around and work on timing and chemistry. Good the DBs to work on footwork, timing, and communication in coverage. Keep the good news coming!!!

Changes on the Horizon?

End it. This is not college football with portals. Also curtail the transfer of athletes within large districts. For example no 5AD2 school claiming 1500 students should be able to build athletic teams with open transfers from a district of 140,000. Play with the athletes in your own school zone. Have schools disclose transfer data and create a 7A super conference to compete against each other in. If Allen, SLC, Carthage, Aledo or any other school builds teams with significant transfers every year, put them in that ‘super’ classification. You want to play ball that way then go play ball against similar programs. None of this magnet school or open district business that allows ‘super teams’ to be BUILT. Academics , fine. Athletics, no unless a student and his/her family moves in to your designated school zone for legitimate reasons. Level the field and be fair to traditional programs.

2026 Schedule

It's a great schedule. Coach Jospeh did an excellent job. Local area travel for the most part outside of the road trip to Brenham (TXC and SF are not too bad...I consider them local area). The Indians will see size, speed, elusive QBs, throwing QBs, good run games, good passing games, and fast and physical defenses. If the Indians can come out of the non-district schedule healthy, they will be well prepared to fight for a fourth straight district championship, sixth straight bi-district championship, sixth straight area championship, and fifth straight shot at a regional finals.

On a different note, does anyone know if PN-G will do spring training this year. I know some dislike spring training becasue it might interfere with baseball, but I do love me some Purple v. White spring football.

GO INDIANS!!!

Recruiting

Changes on the Horizon?

This is a huge problem in the DFW metroplex and I don't mean just SOC. It is not limited to SOC. Yes,
Coach Todd has swagger and he's not afraid to say that SOC accepts transfers, but it's a big problem all over DFW. There are widespread transfers in the DFW suburbs. It's a growing problem in the Houston suburbs, too.
